Lit up with a thousand candles, this is a truly magical charity event at Dorchester Abbey in Dorchester-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
This year, Juliet Stevenson CBE, Lucy Fleming and Alex Jennings CBE will provide readings – some festive, some poignant and some light-hearted.
All our readers enjoy rich and diverse award-winning careers in theatre, film and television.
Juliet is a regular at Dorchester and tells us that this is one of her favourite gigs! On the big screen, Juliet is well-known for her early films in Truly, Madly Deeply and Bend It Like Beckham.
Lucy is currently known to many as the voice of Miranda Elliot in The Archers.
Alex’s recent high-profile appearances in film and television appearances include The Lady in the Van (as Alan Bennett) and The Crown (as the Duke of Windsor).
Our readers will be accompanied by the wonderful Magdalen College Choir – in what has been described as a spine-tingling performance at the abbey, conducted and arranged by Mark Williams.
After the concert, guests are invited to a glass of mulled wine – or a non-alcoholic alternative – and a mince pie slice.
