Realms of Glory : A Celebration of Angels 22nd October to 6th January

…an interactive journey through art and stories.

Exhibition Opening Times: Monday – Saturday 9am-4.30pm, Sunday 12noon-4.30pm, excluding services.

Dorchester Abbey will be hosting a Celebration of Angels with an exhibition, interactive family themed workshops and two events – a celebration of Angels in Music concert and Angelos, an arts experience event to close the exhibition.
Centre stage will be given to a series of large hanging angel painting reproductions with kind permission of the National Gallery in London.  These stunning banners will show beautiful detail on paintings (such as triptych) rarely seen at this scale.

An angels trail will lead the visitor through the Abbey, exploring the role of angels in the journey of life.

Children can have fun dressing up and doing the children challenges linked to every painting.  Half term  and Saturday fun for primary school age children can be had at daily angel themed craft workshops including make your own trumpets, stained glass angels plus wings and halos.
A draw your own guardian angel competition is open to all ages!
