Wedding Bells

Ringing the bells as a newly married couple come out of the Abbey is an established tradition since the first bell was hung in 1375. The bells are usually rung for 30mins after the service, a delightful background to your photographs in the Abbey grounds.

Our bells are rung by an enthusiastic group of volunteers who practice weekly and ring for all the Abbey services, and weddings and funerals as requested.

The bells can be booked by contacting the Parish Office.
