Church music is a vital part of worship, and the Abbey is fortunate to have a talented mixed choir, about 24 in number, under the leadership of the Director of Music, Jeremy Broughton. Choir practice is on Friday evenings in the Abbey, and the choir sings at the Sung Eucharist, Morning Service and Choral Evensong. The choir, which is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music, gives concerts and has sung at Jouarre, France, as well as in a number of other churches in England, including Sheffield Cathedral.
